USES OF ZINC SULPHATE
- Source of zinc in animal feeds.
- Source of zinc for agricultural applications.
- For making lithopone.
- Used in electrolytes for zinc plating.
- Used as a mordant in dyeing.
- Used as a preservative fir skins and leather.
- Used as moss remover for paths and roofs (not for lawns).
How to use Zinc sulphate to treat moss
Zinc sulphate can be applied as the pure powder which not only kills the moss but also protects against moss for up to 5 years. Alternatively it can be applied as 10% solution (i.e. 100g per litre of hot water). Apply the solution liberally on the surface at a rate of approximately 5sq m per litre of solution.
