Aluminium oxide calcined

Aluminium oxide produced commercially is obtained by the calcination of aluminium hydroxide. Calcined alumina products are used in a wide range of ceramic and refractory applications. Alumina offers many specific properties - High compression strength, resistant to abrasion, chemically resistant, high hardness, high thermal conductivity, high dielectrical strength and resistant to thermal shock.

Uses for Calcined Aluminium Oxide:

  • Ceramic materials such as Electronic devices
  • Mechanical parts
  • Whiteware
  • Fillers for resin
  • A key raw material for refractories and abrasives
  • In pottery it is used to increase glaze viscosity, firing range and resistance to crystallization.
