Steam-distilled essential oil from the flowering tops of Lavandula angustifolia (true lavender).
Aroma: soft, floral-herbal, slightly sweet, with a clean, calming character.

Applications
Fine fragrance

EDP/Perfume (ethanol): 0.5–8% (it behaves like a heart note and blends beautifully).

Aromatherapy diffusers: 3–8 drops per 100 mL water (device-dependent).
Personal care (skin-safe, leave-on/rinse-off)*

Leave-on (lotions, facial oils, balms): 0.1–0.6% typical.

Targeted body oils/massage blends: 0.5–1.5%.

Rinse-off (shower gel, shampoo, hand wash): 0.2–1%.

Bar soap/syndet: 0.5–2% (good scent retention).
Home fragrance (non–skin contact)

Candles (soy/coco/paraffin): 5–9% of wax; cures well and throws best when blended (see tips).

Wax melts: 7–12%.

Reed diffusers (e.g., Augeo base): 15–25% EO.

Room/linen sprays: 0.2–1% with a proper solubiliser; patch-test fabrics.
