A granular filter material with a calcium carbonate purity of over 99%. Its microcrystalline structure confers superior performance compared with ordinary limestone. It is a reactive media and during its use it is gradually dissolved by the water being treated and will therefore require periodic replacement. As water passes through the media the pH slowly increases. The grain size is 1-2mm. Complies with BS EN 1018:1998 (Calcium Carbonate).
USES: pH correction media. Remineralisation of soft and desalinated water, increasing the hardness of natural soft water. Also for use in Swimming pools, ponds and water features.
