Citrus limon
Cold-pressed oil from the peel of Citrus limon.
Aroma: sparkling, zesty, freshly peeled lemon with a light pithy sweetness.

Physical data
- Appearance: colorless to pale yellow, very mobile liquid
- Solubility: oil/ethanol-soluble; insoluble in water (use a solubiliser for sprays)
- Relative density (20 °C): ~0.84–0.86
- Refractive index (20 °C): ~1.473–1.476
- Flash point: ~48–50 °C
- Stability: oxidises easily → store cool, full, tightly closed; tiny antioxidant (e.g., 0.05% BHT or 0.1% tocopherol) helps shelf life.
Applications
Fine fragrance

EDP/Perfume (ethanol): 1–12% of the fragrance concentrate (higher in colognes/eaux fraîches).

Diffusers/aromatherapy: 3–8 drops per 100 mL water (device-dependent).
Personal care (skin-safe, leave-on/rinse-off)*

Leave-on (lotions, facial/body oils, balms): 0.05–0.6% for expressed lemon

Rinse-off (shower gel, shampoo, hand wash): 0.2–1.0%.

Bar soap/syndet: 0.5–2% (blend with fixatives—benzoin, amyris, woods—for better retention).
Home fragrance (non–skin contact)

Candles / wax melts: 5–10% of wax; cure 24–72 h and consider blending with benzoin/vanilla/woods to improve hot throw.

Reed diffusers (e.g., Augeo): 10–20% EO.

Room/linen sprays: 0.2–1% with a proper solubiliser; patch-test fabrics.
Household

Classic fresh/clean note for surface sprays, kitchen cleaners, garbage-bin fresheners; potpourri/laundry boosters.
