Rose Absolute Essential Oil 5%
A premium Rosa damascena absolute that’s been pre-diluted to 5% in BOH (benzyl alcohol). The carrier makes the absolute pourable, easy to micro-dose, and alcohol-soluble, while keeping the luxurious natural rose character.
Aroma profile
-
Lush honeyed rose with fruity-jammy facets, a dewy green lift, and soft spicy/clove and tea nuances.
-
Smooth, elegant drydown; great “heart note” anchor for florals.
Why the 5% dilution?
-
Precise dosing (a few drops are enough).
-
Less haze in perfumer’s alcohol vs. neat absolute.
-
Easier handling and more consistent results.
Applications
Fine fragrance
-
EDP/Parfum: use the 5% dilution at 0.2–4.0% of your fragrance concentrate
(≈ 0.01–0.20% pure rose absolute in the concentrate). -
Colognes/body sprays: 0.1–1% of the 5% dilution.
-
Pairs beautifully with bergamot, patchouli/vetiver, vanilla/benzoin, oud, sandalwood, Hedione, ambrette/soft musks.
Personal care (Cosmetics)
-
Lotions/creams/serums: 0.05–0.5% of the 5% dilution.
-
Shower gel/shampoo/soap: 0.1–0.8% of the 5% dilution.
*Always follow your supplier’s IFRA certificate for your exact batch (limits are driven mainly by eugenol and listed allergens).
Home fragrance (non–skin contact)
-
Candles/wax melts: 0.5–3% of the 5% dilution within the total fragrance load; fix with benzoin/vanilla, sandalwood, or musks for hot throw.
-
Reed diffusers (Augeo, etc.): 2–6% of the 5% dilution alongside supportive notes.
-
Room/linen sprays: 0.1–0.5% of the 5% dilution with a proper solubiliser.
Blending tips
-
Build a radiant rose accord with Hedione (5–15%), a touch of phenethyl alcohol, and traces of citronellol/geraniol (or palmarosa) for lift.
-
Add Ambroxan/Cetalox or a macrocyclic musk for diffusion and longevity.
-
Absolutes can tint slightly; the dilution helps clarity—chill and 0.45 µm filter your perfume if hazy.
