SILICONE OIL 10 cPs/cSt
Dimethicone 10
Cosmetic / Technical grade
A high quality of silicone oil which is clear, water-white, tasteless, odourless and neutral liquid. Its viscosity shows very little change with temperature variation. It exhibits minimum of change among all types of silicone fluids. Outstanding resistance to high and low temperature extremes, maintenance of flexibility over a wide temperature range are its unique properties.
It shows high resistance to breakdown by mechanical shearing. The low change in viscosity with temperature and excellent heat and cold resistance makes it an ideal lubricant. It exhibits excellent dielectric properties, which are maintained for prolonged periods of time even under varying operating conditions.
Silicone 10 cSt is used in personal care products as it is a good foam builder, It imparts soft silky feel to the hair, ensures smooth wet shaving foams and is non-irritant to skin.

Uses of silicone oil 10 cst:
• Cosmetic & Personal Care - Used as a non-greasy emollient in: Hair serums, Skin creams, Shaving products.
Gives a smooth, silky feel and enhances spreadability
Silicone 350 is to be used as a surface agent or for de-soaping creams and lotions. However, 1–10% is needed for applications such as hand creams and lotions to form a more uniform film and effective barrier.
• Release agent.
Used purely or as a part of a compounded formula Silicone 20 provides a non-toxic, non-carbonising mould release for rubber, plastics and metal die-castings.
Anti-foam agent.
Very small quantities of the fluid are very effective as a foam control agent, especially in non-aqueous systems.
• Mechanical fluid.
The very high viscosity-index, the thermal and chemical stability, shear-breakdown resistance and the rubber compatibility as well as the compressibility make this fluid outstanding for mechanical and hydraulic uses.
• Lubricant.
The fluid provides excellent lubricating properties for most plastic and elastomeric surfaces. Lubricity with metals depends upon the possible combinations such as P.T.F.E., MoS2 and other lubricity improvers.
• In polishes and chemical specialties.
Silicone oil is used in most automobile and furniture polishes for its ease of application, high gloss with a minimum rubbing and durable water repellent film.
• In electrical and electronic equipment. Because of the excellent dielectric properties silicone oil is widely used as an insulating and damping fluid.
Benefits:
• Good foam builder
• Imparts soft silky feel to the hair
• Ensures smooth wet shaving foams
• Non-irritant to skin
